The Friends of Balboa Park’s mission is to be the voice of the neighborhood to advocate for improvements to Balboa Park that neighbors want/need. The Friends of Balboa Park is not “a project” per se — rather, there are a number of things that neighbors have been talking a lot about to improve Balboa Park as well as activate around that we’d like to advocate for. We think the park has the amazing ability to connect community members by bringing people there. We think the potential is only partially tapped. We’d like to enhance the ways that the park pulls together people and serves them.
